Just to expand this, members of the public (which obviously includes parents) should also be mindful that they can use the Freedom of Information Act to obtain such information from public body. Anyone new to this area may wish to start at the Information Commissioner's Office website - https://ico.org.uk/your-data-matters/schools/official-info/. Any aspiring aficionado's of this statute may wish to look at the first class and affordable training provided by the charity, The Campaign for Freedom of Information - https://www.cfoi.org.uk/foi-training/

    Yes.

It's normally on the school's website. Depending on how their site is designed, you'll normally find it in one of the following sections:

    • Statutory Information
    • Information for Parents and Carers
    • SEND
    • Policies

If you can't access it online (or they don't have a version from the past 12 months on the website), you can ask and they should provide it.

Three to four days is a reasonable time frame for a school to get it to you, although often it will be sooner than this.
